The Path to Strategic Alignment
Strategic alignment does not happen by accident in any organization. Strategic alignment is the confluence of two critical components - an infrastructure that creates and maintains the desired culture, and leaders who propel performance.
In any organization, every member of the organization - executive, leadership and individual contributors - must step up to a leadership role, recognizing alignment with the strategic plan, and effectively influencing up, down and across the organization. From our experience we see six fundamental qualities necessary in the DNA of an aligned organization.
These qualities may be different for each level - individual contributor, leader, and executive team. But sharing a common foundation throughout the organization enables each progressively larger role to build upon a strong foundation.
