Joe is a seasoned senior business executive, a business owner and a retired U. S. Marine Corps officer who has successfully led organizations to achieve high levels of operational effectiveness and profitability. 


For over 25 years, Joe held executive line positions in two Fortune 500 companies.  In his role as Chief Executive Officer for a Pennzoil subsidiary, he took the organization from $26 million in revenue with a $1 million operating loss, to $65 millions in revenue (+250%) with a $12 million net profit over the course of six years.


His Marine Corps career ranges from being commissioned an officer on the battlefield of Vietnam, to serving as the Military Assistant to the Assistant Secretary of Defense, for which he was awarded the Defense Superior Service Medal.


Joe has profound success in effecting change throughout organizations by quickly identifying key issues, effectively mobilizing the workforce, and driving performance that radically improve operations and increase revenue.  He is particularly effective in negotiation and influence at all levels of the organization with the ability to bring together disparate groups and refocus them toward a common vision.  He has proven skills in developing business leaders and strengthening business processes.


Joe shares his business experience and expertise mentoring entrepreneurs as a Certified SCORE Mentor, and is a certified OED Advisor for delivery of the Organization for Entrepreneurial Development.

Carol Anderson is a nationally recognized thought leader, author, speaker and consultant on aligning the workforce to business strategy.  It is the workforce that executes an organizations strategy.  Too often in today’s complex business world, people  are an afterthought, pushed to the side by marketing and financial strategies, even though those strategies can only be fulfilled by a workforce that gets it, knows how to do it and continuously improves performance.   Human Resources, the one function that should lead “all things people”, is often mired in a “process oriented” mentality that relegates them to a second team player rather than a leader in “all things people”.  CEO’s need to understand how to challenge HR to be “all things people”, HR needs to understand how to fulfill their role as “all things people”, and the people need to understand their role in executing the strategy.

Carol’s experience in over 35 years of executive leadership has provided her with a unique lens and proven methodologies to help CEOs demand performance from HR and to develop the capability of HR to deliver business results by aligning the workforce to the strategy.

Her experience includes internal executive HR roles in the military, financial services, retail and healthcare, and she has consulted extensively with essentially every industry. Carol founded Anderson Performance Partners, LLC, to bring together organizational leader to collectively unite all aspects of the business - CEO’s, CFO’s and HR executives – to build, implement and evaluate a workforce alignment strategy.  Carol has achieved remarkable success improving leadership collaboration, developing programs and processes that facilitate strategic alignment and building an engaged, committed, high-performing workforce.

She is the author of “Repurpose HR:  Moving from cost center to business accelerator” published by the Society for Human Resource Management in June 2015 which provides a practical RoadMap for human resource professionals to lead the process of aligning the workforce to the business strategy, and deliver results.   Carol’s articles have appeared in Harvard Business Review, TLNT.com, Human Talent Network, BizCatalyst360  on her blog. Carol has a Masters in Adult Learning and Development and holds certifications as a SHRM-Senior Certified Professional, Senior Professional in Human Resources and Certified Compensation Professional.
